Philadelphia Mark Installation
Following the meeting of Philadelphia RAM on Monday 30th January 2023, the brethren did a quick change into their Mark regalia in readiness for the Mark installation.

The DC, Bill Swindlehurst, assisted by others put away the RAM equipment and moved the Mark furnishings into place during the brief time between the two meetings.
The occasion was quiet remarkable, Bill had been the Installing Commander in the meeting that had just finished and Alan Eastham, who Bill had installed was now the Installing Master in the Mark! We certainly don’t make it easy for ourselves do we.

Following the opening and administrative matters being discharged, W.Bro. Giles Berkley was admitted as the principal guest, although he is really a member of the Lodge.

Pleasantries and salutations were soon out of the way and Alan set about installing his successor W.Bro. David Robinson who just happens to be the RW Provincial Grand Masters Special Representative for the Area.
Officers were invested and one of David’s first jobs was to present a cheque for £250 for the West Lancashire Mark Charities to Giles. Giles thanked the members acknowledging that the members of Philadelphia were also contributing magnificently to their local lodges.

After closing the Lodge we were soon making our way down to the Ballroom for the meal which was prepared and served by the catering staff at Ashlar House, and very good it was.

Speeches were short and we were quickly collecting our belongings, saying our goodbyes before setting out for home, fully satisfied that we had enjoyed a feast of Masonry.

Our congratulations go to the Lodge secretariat and DC’s team for their organisation leading up to and on the evening.
